We at Queen's College believe in providing the best possible holistic education for all children. As a part of this aim, we have developed an 'Accelerated Learning Programme' which seeks to challenge students to attain their potential at an earlier stage in their high school career and so enable them to reach new academic heights before graduating. The acceleration programme has produced some outstanding results and our students have been able to sit internationally recognized examinations in Grade 12, better preparing them for their aspirations throughout higher education. This is possible due to the early sitting of BGCSE examinations in Grade 11.
Many students are selected at an early stage in Grades 10 and 11 to sit the accelerated courses in certain subjects. Students are then able to concentrate on key skills for college, or follow international programmes such as AP courses. Having advanced courses as a part of our students' academic profile greatly assists in their quest in enrolling in more selective universities and colleges.
The faster pace of accelerated courses, challenge both teacher and student alike, to maintain a determined focus on excellence in all learning and teaching processes at Queen's College.
