WALK-A-THON

Our Walk-A-Thon will be held tomorrow, Friday, November 09, 2018. Students are to wear a Q.C. P.E. shirt and shorts, tennis and a hat. No jeans please.

CELEBRATION OF EXCELLENCE

We would like to thank all of the parents and family members who attended the Primary Years ‘Celebration of Excellence’ Ceremony held this morning. We are proud of our students’ accomplishments. We congratulate Melania Nixon, 6Q who was selected Student of the Year 2018-2019.

PRIMARY YEARS CHOIR

The Primary Choir will be singing at Atlantis, Paradise Island on Sunday, November 11, 2018. Students are to arrive at the Marina Village by 8:45 a.m. at the latest.

END-OF-TERM EXAMS

End-of-Term Exams for students in Primary Years (Grades 3-6) will be held November 16, 19, 20 and 21. Students are to wear their full school uniform (no P .E. clothes) during this week as there will be no specialist lessons during their examinations. Exams will begin promptly at 8:15 a.m. Parents are encouraged to have their child in school on time as no extra time will be given to students who are late. School will be dismissed at 12:30 p.m. on exam days for Primary Years’ students. A detailed letter and timetable will be sent home.

REPORT CARDS

Report Cards will be sent home on Wednesday, December 12, 2018.

Q BOOK

All students in Grade Three and students new to Queen’s College are required to purchase a Primary Years Q-Book at the Primary Years Office. Cost: $5.00

BASKETBALL PRACTICE

Basketball practice will be held on Saturdays from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. on the courts near the swimming pool.

GLAT RESULTS

GLAT results are available for collection at the Primary Years Office. Parents of Grades 4 and 7 are asked to collect their students GLAT results. Parents must sign to indicate that they have received the results. Results will not be issued to students.

LUNCH PROGRAMME FOR GRADE THREE STUDENTS

Lunch orders should be submitted with correct funds on Friday and Monday mornings ONLY. We can no longer accept orders on other days. Please send correct change.

NECKTIES

Please be reminded that it is mandatory for the boys in Grades 4-6 to wear neckties. The ties can only be purchased at ‘The Galaxy’.

PETER PAN BLOUSE

Girls in Grades 3-6 are required to wear a white ‘Peter Pan’ collar blouse under their shift uniform. Thank you for your cooperation.

26TH NASSAU GIRL GUIDES

There will be a short registration meeting on TUESDAY, September 11 under the High School Pavilion from 3:15—3:45 p.m. Any girls (ages10-14) interested in being a part of the Girl Guides at Queen’s College are asked to please attend. Former Guides are asked to please attend to collect forms and information from Mrs. Sweeting.

Congratulations to Nikhil Unwala – Grade 6S, who was awarded First Runner Up in The Bahamas Primary School Student of The Year Awards Foundation Competition.
